Our Founder’s Story

Ivan Leal, founder and director, is a proud Mexican-American and Arizona native. His passion for organized, service-driven work began early—helping his grandfather manage paperwork for the family’s construction and funeral home businesses. These experiences taught him discipline, attention to detail, and a deep respect for small business owners and their legacy.

After serving 13 years in the U.S. Air Force and working in complex payroll and HR environments, Ivan founded Smart Payroll Solutions to offer local businesses the same structured, dependable service found in large institutions—without sacrificing personal connection or trust.
